SESSION FEES

15-minute initial consultation – No charge
50-minute session – $100

INITIAL APPOINTMENT

I offer a 15-minute no fee phone consultation, so we can meet, you can share a bit about what’s going on in your life, what sort of support you’re looking for, I can answer any questions you may have, and we can see if it feels like it’s a good fit for us to work together.

PAYMENT

Payment in full is due at the time of service and is made through your online Client Portal . I accept all major credit/debit cards.

INSURANCE

I’m an out-of-network provider, which means that I don’t do direct billing to insurance companies. However, I’m happy to provide a monthly invoice (Superbill) for you to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to verify coverage.

Some helpful questions to ask:
• Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
• Is there a deductible I need to meet before I will begin to be reimbursed? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
• Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
• Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
• What is the reimbursement rate for an out-of-network provider?

* Please note that most insurance companies will require a diagnosis for reimbursement.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I require a 24-hour notice for cancelled sessions. If sessions are cancelled or rescheduled with insufficient notice or if you miss a session, you may be charged a fee of the full session rate.

SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS

I use a HIPAA compliant electronic health record (EHR) system called SimplePractice. This platform provides a “Client Portal” that makes it easy for you to complete all paperwork, contact me securely using the chat feature and make payments securely online. You may schedule via email, phone or the Contact Form on this website, however please be aware that those methods, although private, are not secure forms of communication.

HOW SESSIONS WORK

We’ll be using live video through doxy.me, a secure, HIPPA compliant video-conferencing platform, for our appointments. Please see the Online Counseling page for more information.

ON-CALL or CRISIS SERVICES

If you know that you are likely to need extra support outside of scheduled sessions, I may not be the right fit for you at this time. I disclose this up front to ensure all of my clients are appropriate for the level of care I provide, and I am happy to discuss this further in the initial consultation.
