We’re all in this together, this thing called life

We all need to belong, to feel accepted and be understood.

Relationships are essential to a healthy, meaningful, and purposeful life.

It is through relationship, past and present, with yourself, and others that you are molded and your story unfolds.

We are relational beings that crave connection

Yet, relationships are also challenging and stressful.

A lack of meaningful connection leaves you feeling empty, defeated and alone.

Moreover, many of us have been disappointed, deeply wounded, or traumatized by strained, harmful, and ruptured relationships.

Disrupted relationships can create upset, be overwhelming and even paralyzing as repeating patterns of behavior can keep us stuck in continuous struggles.

Genuine connection is essential to health and happiness

I approach counseling with the belief that genuine connection is key to health and happiness in all areas of life; from work, school and home to our larger, extended communities.

Healthy development is made possible through relationships and shared experience.

As such, the counseling relationship is one of the greatest resources we can use to heal and facilitate personal growth.

Acceptance and support in a safe and comfortable space

Therapy becomes a safe space without judgment where you can explore and express what is on your mind and in your heart.

The counseling relationship offers the acceptance and support that can lead to a better awareness and understanding of yourself.

As a result, you begin to decrease defensiveness and insecurity and build trust in yourself. All of which leads to healthier, more loving relationships with yourself, the people in your life, and the world around you.

It’s a collaborative process, about you, for you and at your pace

I will work together with you at your pace, toward achieving your goals.

I will support you while you consider and work through your thoughts and feelings.

I will provide you with tools to manage demanding situations, and when appropriate, challenge your perspective.

We will work together in the areas that are most pressing and important to you while addressing what has been making life difficult.

Your current experience is an opportunity to learn a better way of living. Counseling is an opportunity to connect, discover, and grow.
